Rule making process – Proposed revisions to 388-97-077
Dear Nursing Facility/Home Administrator:
The department last reviewed and revised Washington Administrative Code (WAC) 388-97-077 Resident protection program, in 2000. The department is initiating the rule-making process to review this section to determine if it needs to amended, divided into several smaller sections, and to see if it could be written more clear and simple. Other sections, including related sections, may be amended as necessary.
The department has filed the enclosed “CR-101” with the Code Reviser to begin this process. Stakeholder input and feed back will be obtained through the nursing homes, interested parties and other represented groups.
The department anticipates that a CR-102 will be filed in late September 2007. At that time, proposed language will be shared with stakeholders and stakeholders will have another opportunity to provide input.
