MDS TRAINING – REGION 1
Dear Nursing Facility/Home Administrator:
This letter contains important information for facility staff responsible for completing the Minimum Data Set (MDS) assessments.
Residential Care Services will be providing a 2-day training session entitled, “MDS 101: The Who, What, When, Why and How”. The target audience for this training is facility staff new to the MDS process or those who have not attended any MDS training sessions. It is a basic class covering MDS coding and includes error correction, transmission issues and common errors.
The training session is scheduled as follows:
DATE: Wednesday and Thursday, March 9 & 10
HOURS: 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
LOCATION: Sacred Heart Medical Center – 20 West 9 th Avenue, Spokane
Providence Auditorium
- The training is free of charge.
- Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m.
- Parking is free on the upper level lot on a first-come, first-served basis with paid parking on the street.
- Coffee/food will not be provided, however a cafeteria is on site.
- Attendees should bring their RAI/MDS manual.
- A map to the location is enclosed & also accessible on the ADSA website.

- Parking is plentiful and free.
- Coffee/food will not be provided; however, a cafeteria is on site.
- Attendees should bring their RAI/MDS manual. Since this session is held in the auditorium and there are no tables, a clipboard may be helpful.

Residential Care Services will be providing a 2-day training session entitled, “MDS 101: The Who, What, When, Why and How”. The target audience for this training is facility staff new to the MDS process or those who have not attended any MDS training sessions. DATE: Thursday and Friday, March 17 & 18, 2005
HOURS: 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
LOCATION: Office Building 2 Auditorium at 14 th and Jefferson - Olympia
- The training is free of charge.
- Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m.
- Parking is limited and available for a fee; bring single dollar bills, as there is no change-making booth on site. Car-pooling is advised.
- Coffee/food will not be provided, however a cafeteria is on site.
- Attendees should bring their RAI/MDS manual. Since this session is held in the auditorium and there are no tables, a clipboard may be helpful.
