SUBJECT: DELAY OF IMPLEMENTATION OF NEW WAC 388-112-0001 THROUGH 388-112-0175

Dear Adult Family Home Provider:

This is to inform you that implementation of new WAC 388-112-0001 through 388-112-0175 - Residential Long Term Care Services Training, will be delayed.
This means the March 1, 2002 implementation date of new training requirements will also be delayed.

Due to numerous comments received on the proposed WACs, the steering committee will again review recommendations, which may result in additional or modified language in the proposed WAC. You will have the opportunity for further comment when the new proposed WACs are developed.

We will maintain up to date information on this WAC process on the AASA internet
web site. The address is http://www.aasa.dshs.wa.gov/; go to Professional and click on Adult Family, Boarding Home and Home Care Training Rules Revision.

You will receive notification of the new implementation date when it is determined.
In the meantime, please remember that all current training requirements remain in effect.
