Nurse Delegation Program - Classes for RNs
This class is required for REGISTERED NURSES who wish to contract with DSHS for Nurse Delegation. REGISTRATION IS NECESSARY! We sometimes cancel a class based on the number of people registered. So, if you are not registered, we do not know that you will be attending! See instructions for registration below.
This continuing nursing education activity was approved beginning 6-18-2009 by the Washington State Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

Registering for the Class
- Select the date and location of class you wish to attend.
- Send the class date with your name, address, home phone, and cell phone numbers to PRATTDE2@dshs.wa.gov or sievek@dshs.wa.gov
- Indicate whether you are interested in receiving a state contract for nurse delegation or not.
- We will confirm your registration at least 10 days before the class date.
- We are unable to accept registrations more than 30 days before a scheduled class.
- Please notify us if you are unable to attend after registering. At some locations, space is limited, and others may want to attend in your place.
Obtaining Continuing Nursing Education Contact Hours
- This class has been approved for 5.5 contact hours of continuing nursing education.
- To obtain 5.5 contact hours, the learner must attend the entire class.
- Learner participation at the event will be verified by his/her signature on the registration list.
- Successful completion of the class will be validated by the learner’s completion of the evaluation form.
- Certificates of attendance will be emailed to participants within 21 days of the event.
