Amendments to WAC 388-110
Dear Boarding Home Provider:
The department has amended chapter 388-110 Washington Administrative Code (WAC), Contracted Residential Care Services.
The amendments took effect March 9, 2006 and only affect boarding homes that have contracts with the department to provide:
- Adult residential care,
- Enhanced adult residential care, or
- Assisted living services.
The following is a summary of sections modified:
Section -020
- Changes the cross-reference to chapter 388-106 WAC in the definition of “personal care services.”
Section -100
- Increases the maximum number of days of social leave a department client may take without department approval, from 15 to 18 days per year, and
- Clarifies language regarding Medicaid residents.
Section -220
- Changes the cross references to chapter 388-106 WAC,
- Expands possible training topics for Specialized Dementia Care contractors, and
- Changes the definition of “eating.”
