Amending WAC 388-78A
Dear Boarding Home Providers and Interested Parties:
Residential Care Services has filed the enclosed CR 101 (WSR #05-10-086) with the Office of the Code Reviser regarding chapter 388-78A Washington Administrative Code (WAC) Boarding Home Licensing Rules. The attached CR 101 will be published in the 05-10 edition of the Washington State Register on May 18, 2005.
The department is considering amending the following sections of chapter 388-78A WAC:
- 2020 - Definitions
- 2280 - Medication organizers;
- 2520 - Administrator qualifications
- 2940 - Two-way intercom systems
- 2960 - Sewage and liquid waste disposal
Additionally, the department is considering amendments to clarify the following sections of chapter 388-78A WAC: -2050; -2260; -2270; -2300; -2340; -2360; -2470; -2480; 2490; -2500; -2510; -2700; -2840; -2910; -2930 and other necessary sections that may be identified as requiring clarification.

Additionally, you are invited to participate and comment at either one of two public meetings. One meeting, as announced with the filing of the CR 101, will be held from 1:30 PM to 4:00 PM, on Tuesday, June 14, 2005. If you are unable to attend this meeting, an alternate meeting has been scheduled from 1:30 PM to 4:00 PM, on Wednesday, June 8, 2005. The purpose of these meetings will be to discuss the amendments under consideration and to solicit input from stakeholders. Both meetings will be held at:
