SUBJECT:? On-site revisit ? credible documentation
Dear Boarding Home Provider:
Recently enacted legislation, SHB 2041, allows the department to consider written or photographic documentation to verify a correction following a citation.? This type of verification will not apply to violations that are serious, recurring, or uncorrected following a previous citation, or create actual or threatened harm to one or more resident?s well being.
The RCS Field Manager will determine whether the correction will be verified through an on-site revisit or through documentation.
If we determine that an on-site revisit is not required, here are some of the types of verification you may be asked to provide:
- Public file documents
- A duplicate (if an original would be considered credible)
- Photographs
- Certified copies
- Enlargements or facsimiles
- Records maintained in the normal course of business
If you have questions, please contact the Field Manager in your local Residential Care Services (RCS) office.
Sincerely,
Patricia K. Lashway, Director
Residential Care Services
