AGING AND DISABILITY SERVICES ADMINISTRATION
November 19, 1998
BH #98-006
Dear Boarding Home Administrator:
Because of the responsibility for licensing boarding homes was transferred from the Department of Health to the Department of Social and Health Services, the boarding home licensing regulations have been re-codified from Washington Administrative Code 246-316 into chapter 388-78A. All of the sub-sections continue to have the same numbers, and there have been no changes in the text or in the meaning of the regulations. For example, "Limited Nursing Services" was previously codified as WAC 246-316-265. Under the new codification, "Limited Nursing Services" is now codified as WAC 388-78A-265, and contains the identical wording as previously written.
Effective immediately, Aging and Disability Services Administration staff will reference WAC 388-78A in all matters related to boarding home licensing.
Please call Denny McKee at (360) 407-0120 if you have any questions regarding this change.
Sincerely,
Patricia Lashway, Director
