REFUNDS IN LONG TERM CARE FACILITIES

Dear Boarding Home Provider:

The Resident's Rights law, RCS 70.129.150, was amended by the 1997 legislature to establish new minimum requirements for refunds and financial agreements between residents and providers. This law applies to the treatment of residents in all boarding homes, adult family homes, veteran's homes, and nursing facilities.

Enclosed are a copy of the law and guidelines for how to apply the law.
